YES ! It’s finally Spring ! What better way to celebrate than do drink fruity beers !? I honnestly don’t know, please tell me.

For this edition, we had 4 beers to discover

Guava Gose – Collective Arts Brewing

The first one we tried was Guava Gose by Collective Arts Brewing. It is a sour goyave fruit, which in itself seems really intriging. Also the label is just gorgeous and comes in two different patern and when stack on each other, they become one, isn’t it beautiful ?

Mégafruits Raptor – La Barbarie

Wow, this can is something in itself, a mix of 80’s neon meeting Jurassic Park and it also tastes great ! It has a smoothie like texture (thank you lactose) and is a mix of small berries : strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blackcurrant. (thank you Stephanie C. from untappd for the pic, yes I stole it, I’m sorry it was so good I forgot to take a picture)

Limoilou Beach – La souche

We heard of Verdun Beach but never Limoilou Beach, with our insufficient knowledge on the Limoilou Area we will refer to this as Verdun Beach (if the label is a good representation, they are really similar). This beer is a blackcurrant sour and it delivers. Sour “à souhait” and smells a bit swampy. But just like Verdun Beach, the more you drink it, the better it is (don’t drink the water at Verdun Beach. Please. Don’t.). Once again, I forgot to take a picture, so thank you Guillaume T. from untappd, you are the best.

Amarillo – Menaud

With a simple and clean lable, we had a lot of expectations with this one. According to it’s own description, Amarillo is a cold-hopped beer with powerful tropical flavors with hints of mango and passion fruit. What we taste was … not that. The fruity taste was not really there and it reminded us more of a soapy flavour than a fruity one. It was not a favorite to say the least. (Thank you Menaud for the picture)

Our favorite : Unanimously GUAVA !!! – I also think this is the first time we were unanimous on something.

Our session : Guava !

Our favorite label : Guava

Our surprise : Amarillo (and it was not a good surprise)
